How much is membership and what are the benefits?

The current membership dues are only $12 per year.

When do you meet and are meetings open to the public?

Our monthly meetings are held on the 2nd Friday of each moth at 11:30 AM - 1 PM and are open to all over the age of 55. We meet at the Senior Services Wellness Center on 1150 Powder Springs St, Marietta, GA. To remain efficient and focused on our agenda, our meetings typically do not include speakers or refreshments.

If there is something you would like the Council to hear or consider, please email us at least a week prior to the meeting for inclusion on the agenda if approved.

How much of my time would be required if volunteered to help?

We are hoping that those interested in working with us have not yet retired their valuable professional experience. Typically, required assistance to us only requires 1-2 hours a week, sometimes less, depending on how many people we have to work on a particular projects. The Council is always in need of the following skills:

Writing and proofreading
Fundraising
Political Action
Event planning (Seminars and expos, luncheons, etc.)
Marketing and publicity (Press releases)
Social media (Facebook)
Solicitation (to help find sponsors)
